I've been there, thinking a high-end camera was necessary, but then I started experimenting with my smartphone, and wow, did it deliver! It's all about playing around with angles, lighting, and those sneaky settings. Before you know it, you're snapping videos that could pass for professional camera quality. 📱

My advice? Hold off on splurging on expensive cameras, your phone is more than enough to get you going.

DIY the set-ups—get creative with what you have 

The moment it clicked for me that imagination is everything in UGC creation was when I saw this one creator do something wild. They filled a bathtub with water and dye for this surreal shot. Mind officially blown! That's when it hit me: UGC isn't about having the flashiest equipment; it's about seeing magic in the mundane.

This eye-opener got me thinking differently. Like with tripods, don't have one? I've been there. Use a stack of books, strategically place tape on a wall, balance your phone on a shelf… Get creative; that is the point. 

And backdrops? Your home is full of them. I've turned a plain bedsheet, a bright rug, or even a chic curtain into awesome backdrops. Looking for props? Just scout your space. From kitchen gadgets to your pet or quirky knick-knacks, these everyday items can add a fun twist to your visuals.

Let's chat about lighting – it's like the secret sauce of content creation. You don’t need those pricey lighting setups when you've got the best light source out there: the sun! Natural lighting looks the best, and it’s also free.

Try shooting near windows or outdoors to give your content a natural, vibrant look. When indoors, you can totally DIY a soft lighting effect with a lamp and a white paper or cloth over it to soften those harsh lights.
